what's in a name?

Sweet Chalybeate

"Chalybeate" comes from the Latin name for iron-rich water.  Many early Americans traveled long and far to resorts in the eastern mountains seeking healing properties of the mineral water springs that flowed from the ground.  One resort located in the Allegheny Mountains was known as Sweet Chalybeate Springs. Like the medicinal spring waters, we draw from the source that feeds this rich heritage of traditional music.
